Blackridge Farms

These clients own a massive tree farm harvesting fast-growth pine trees in Virginia. Blackridge Farms consists of three containers on the lower level and two containers on the top with three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bath. They are building a full basement underneath the home. There will be a large upper deck and a lower deck that are connected by a staircase on the exterior. There will also be a swimming pool in the backyard.

This design is rather dynamic, as the containers actually change position from the first story to the second story, so the upper level goes perpendicular. Additionally, they have a large cantilever for this project which will be a focal moment of the design that draws energy and attention. This entire project overlooks a private pond.
