Duck's Path

Duck’s Path located in Leland, Michigan is a cargo architecture project that combines three buildings to create rental units all on the same lot. Duck’s path is made up of 2 two-story buildings and 1 single-story, ranch-style building.

Of the 3 buildings, the 2 two-story structures share identical floor plans that are complete with two bedrooms and two baths. The stand alone single-story home has a slightly different floor plan than the two-story structures, but it still keeps continuity with the other two buildings

Each of the 5 units are designed with an open living and kitchen space and include a mud/laundry room as well as a balcony that overlooks the narrows, where Lake Leelenaw and Lake Leland connect at a small river, and where ducks are often seen crossing giving this project its namesake.
